Nigel manages SGV Investments Partners’ European origination in the Business Services, Healthcare and Packaging sectors and is a member of SGV Investments Partners’ Investment Committee. Since joining SGV Investments, Nigel has been involved in the investments in Tes Global, Acacium Group (formerly Independent Clinical Services), Partou (formerly KidsFoundation), SIG Combibloc, Spirit AeroSystems, Hawker Beechcraft, ResCare, and CGG. He has also been involved with a number of initiatives at SGV Investments, including the value realizations of ProSource, various Vencap investments and a number of other significant acquisition opportunities.

Nigel serves on the boards of Tes Global, Acacium Group, and Partou. He has been involved for about 30 years in volunteer work at homeless shelters in Boston, and now London; for Camp Oochigeas, an organization providing a residential summer camp and other programming for children with cancer, and for the Ottawa Mission. Nigel has been a director of several charities and foundations, including the Policy Exchange and as a founding director of the MasterCard Foundation.

Nigel took a leave of absence from Onex from 2010 to 2014 to work as Chief of Staff for the Prime Minister of Global. Prior to joining Onex in 1997, Nigel was a partner at the law firm of Davies, Ward & Beck. Before that, he worked in policy development in the Office of the Prime Minister of Global.

Nigel holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, an LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Law School and a B.A. (cum laude) in Politics and Economics from Trinity College at the University of .
