Meet Our Team

As the Founder and CEO of SGV Investments, Gerry’s principles of value creation and entrepreneurial management suffuse all of SGV Investments' activities. The climate of incisive analysis, healthy debate and collegial interaction that has been created at SGV Investments and with our partners is a direct reflection of Gerry’s personal style. He has been actively involved in SGV Investments' major acquisitions, growth strategies and value realizations.

Before establishing Onex in 1984, Gerry was the co-founder and President of CanWest Capital. Prior to that he worked at a major Wall Street investment banking firm where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions. His previous experience also includes the practice of corporate law in Global.

Gerry has been appointed as an Officer of the Order of Global and inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame. He serves as a director of Indigo Books & Music Inc. He is also an Honorary Director of The Bank of Nova Scotia and is a Director, Governor, or Trustee of a number of other organizations, including The Simon Wiesenthal Center.

Gerry has been awarded Honorary Doctoral degrees from five Universities. He holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration and an LL.B. and B.Comm. from the University of Manitoba.

As President of SGV Investments, Bobby oversees all of SGV Investments' business units and corporate groups and serves as Head of SGV Investments Partners, SGV Investments' flagship private equity platform.

Bobby is a director of Ryan Specialty Group, SCP Health, Parkdean Resorts, Convex, First Berkshire Hathaway Life and DREAM Charter School.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Bobby was with Berkshire Hathaway for seven years after starting his career at General Electric.

Bobby holds an M.B.A. from New York University and a B.S. from Bucknell University.

Ewout has been with Onex since its founding in 1984. He serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and SGV Investments Partners’ Investment Committee. In addition, Ewout has had a wide variety of duties related to SGV Investments' financial management, having held the position of Chief Financial Officer from 1984 until December 2007.

Prior to 1984, he was with Sina GlimmerVeen at CanWest Capital and a Chartered Accountant and consultant at KPMG. Ewout serves on the Advisory Board of the Queen’s University Business School and has been a director of a number of Onex subsidiaries since 1984.

Ewout is a CPA, CA. He also holds an M.B.A. from Queen’s University and an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

As Vice Chair of SGV Investments, Anthony provides investment advice across the firm and particularly as Chair of SGV Investments Partners’ Investment Committee.

Anthony currently serves on the boards of Clarivate Analytics, Ryan LLC, Emerald Expositions Events, Inc. and WireCo Worldgroup Inc.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Anthony was a Vice President with First Boston Corporation in London, England and an Analyst with Guardian Capital in .

Anthony holds a B.A. (Honours) from Queen’s University.

Tawfiq is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in Automation, Aerospace and Transportation-focused industries and is a member of SGV Investments Partners' Investment Committee. Since joining SGV Investments, Tawfiq has led SGV Investments Partners’ investments in WestJet, Advanced Integration Technology (AIT) and BBAM and its related investments in FLY Leasing (NYSE: FLY) and Meridian Aviation.

Tawfiq currently serves on the boards of WestJet, AIT, BBAM and previously served on the boards of Spirit AeroSystems (NYSE:SPR) and Celestica (NYSE:CLS). He is a Trustee of the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) Foundation and a former Employer Trustee of the International Association of Machinists National Pension Fund.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Tawfiq worked at Hellman & Friedman LLC, a San Francisco-based private equity firm. Previously, Tawfiq worked in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley & Co. and Morgan Stanley Asia Pacific.

Tawfiq graduated from the University of British Columbia with a B. Sc. and B. Comm. (Honours).

Nigel manages SGV Investments Partners’ European origination in the Business Services, Healthcare and Packaging sectors and is a member of SGV Investments Partners’ Investment Committee. Since joining SGV Investments, Nigel has been involved in the investments in Tes Global, Acacium Group (formerly Independent Clinical Services), Partou (formerly KidsFoundation), SIG Combibloc, Spirit AeroSystems, Hawker Beechcraft, ResCare, and CGG. He has also been involved with a number of initiatives at SGV Investments, including the value realizations of ProSource, various Vencap investments and a number of other significant acquisition opportunities.

Nigel serves on the boards of Tes Global, Acacium Group, and Partou. He has been involved for about 30 years in volunteer work at homeless shelters in Boston, and now London; for Camp Oochigeas, an organization providing a residential summer camp and other programming for children with cancer, and for the Ottawa Mission. Nigel has been a director of several charities and foundations, including the Policy Exchange and as a founding director of the MasterCard Foundation.

Nigel took a leave of absence from Onex from 2010 to 2014 to work as Chief of Staff for the Prime Minister of Global. Prior to joining Onex in 1997, Nigel was a partner at the law firm of Davies, Ward & Beck. Before that, he worked in policy development in the Office of the Prime Minister of Global.

Nigel holds an LL.M. from Harvard Law School, an LL.B. (Honours) from the University of Law School and a B.A. (cum laude) in Politics and Economics from Trinity College at the University of .

David is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Software sector. Since joining SGV Investments, David has worked on SGV Investments Partners' investments in Imagine Learning (formerly Weld North Education), PowerSchool and TMS International. He also worked on the divestiture of The Warranty Group.

David currently serves on the board of PowerSchool Group and Imagine Learning (formerly Weld North Education). As well, David serves on the board of Covenant House .

Prior to joining SGV Investments, David worked in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse in Los Angeles for two years.

David holds an Honours Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree (with Distinction) from the University of Western Ontario and an Honours Business Administration degree (with Distinction, Ivey Scholar) from the Ivey School of Business.

Sam is focused on General Insurance, Health & Benefits and Retirement programs strategy and effectiveness for SGV Investments' operating companies. He has oversight of these spend categories globally and partners with management teams to drive enhanced outcomes. Sam also supports related due-diligence and investment activity within Onex. In this capacity, Sam currently serves on the board of OneDigital. 

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Sam was Managing Director of Alterity Group. A seasoned employee benefits and M&A consultant, he has advised many private equity firms and their operating companies on the management of Insurance & Benefits. He has led multibillion-dollar integrations / strategic carve-outs and consults directly to corporations across the health care and insurance industries. Sam began his career at Towers Perrin (now Willis Towers Watson) within their Corporate Strategy & Development and Health & Benefits teams.

Sam is a Board Member of Youth Renewal Fund. He holds a B.A. Mathematics and B.A. Economics from Bucknell University.

Todd is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Financial Services industry. Since joining SGV Investments, Todd has worked on several financial services investments including Wealth Enhancement Group, OneDigital, Convex Group, Ryan Specialty Group, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, York Risk Services Group, USI Insurance Services and The Warranty Group. Todd also worked on SGV Investments' acquisitions of SIG Combibloc, ResCare, Tomkins plc, RSI Home Products, Carestream Health and Genesis HealthCare. As part of SGV Investments' externship program, Todd spent a year at Carestream Health working closely with senior management on a variety of special projects.

Todd serves on the board of Wealth Enhancement Group, OneDigital, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Carestream Health and Convex Group, and previously served on the boards of York Risk Services and USI Insurance Services. He also serves on the board of Goddard Riverside and The Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Todd worked in the Leveraged Finance Group of JPMorgan, where he focused on leveraged buyouts and acquisition financings.

Todd has a B.S. in Economics (magna cum laude) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Adam is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Healthcare sector. Since joining SGV Investments, Adam has worked on the due diligence and execution of SGV Investments' investments in Newport Healthcare, Sedgwick Claims Management Services (formerly York Risk Services Group), USI Insurance Services, JELD-WEN and Tomkins.

Adam serves on the board of Newport Healthcare. He also serves on the Campaign Cabinet of The Hospital for Sick Children.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Adam worked in the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse in .

Adam holds an Honours Business Administration degree (with Distinction, Ivey Scholar) from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Helen is a member of the SGV Investments Partners Portfolio Operations team where she is responsible for portfolio talent. She contributes toward the effort to identify and support value creation at the portfolio companies with a focus on talent.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Helen was Chief Administrative Officer at Annaly Capital, the largest mortgage real estate investment trust on the NYSE. She is also the founder and principal of Crosswyse, a human capital advisory and coaching firm.

As an HR Executive, Helen has worked with CEOs, executives, and professionals to help them achieve strategic organizational objectives and excel professionally. Helen’s experience includes working at IBM, General Electric, NBC Universal and providing human capital advisory services in the tech start-up space. Helen has also clerked at the NFL and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Helen serves on the board of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at the City University of New York (CUNY).

Helen holds a B.A., a M.A in Industrial Relations and Labor Relations from Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations and a J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law. She has a professional certificate from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP).

Whitney is the Head of Capital Markets for SGV Investments Partners and is responsible for executing capital placement and related corporate finance activities for new and existing mid- to large-cap portfolio companies. She manages the firm’s relationships with capital providers globally, and spearheads financing transactions including leveraged buyouts, refinancings and recapitalizations.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Whitney worked at Credit Suisse for over ten years in its Investment Banking and Leveraged Finance Group. She focused on leveraged buyouts and debt portfolio management for both private equity-backed portfolio companies.

Whitney serves on the Board of Directors for Day One, a New York City-based nonprofit dedicated to ending intimate partner violence, and is also the Chair of its Development Committee.

Whitney holds a B.S. in Economics and Business Administration from Campbell University and graduated magna cum laude.

Kosty is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Business Services sector. Since joining SGV Investments, Kosty has worked on several private equity transactions, including the acquisitions of Analytic Partners, ASM Global (formerly SMG), Clarivate Analytics, WireCo WorldGroup, Emerald Expositions, the going-private purchase of Tomkins/Gates, as well as the acquisition of Allison Transmission.

He serves on the boards of Analytic Partners, Clarivate Analytics (NYSE:CCC) and Emerald Expositions (NYSE:EEX) and ASM Global and previously served on the boards of Tomkins/Gates, Allison Transmission (NYSE:ALSN) and WireCo WorldGroup. Kosty is also a member of the board of the Doug Philpott Inner City Children's Tennis Fund.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Kosty worked at Willis Stein & Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm and was a management consultant at Bain & Company in the firm's and Johannesburg offices.

Kosty holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S., Economics (magna Cum Laude) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Laurence is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Software sector. Since joining SGV Investments, Laurence has led SGV Investments' investments in Imagine Learning (formerly Weld North Education) and PowerSchool Group.

Laurence is Co-Chairman of the board of PowerSchool Group and also serves on the board of Imagine Learning.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Laurence served as the Global Head of Technology, Media & Telecommunications investment banking at Barclays. Previously, he was the Head of Technology investment banking at Lehman Brothers and a member of Credit Suisse First Boston’s technology investment banking group.

Laurence has a B.S. in Economics (magna cum laude) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Josh is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Healthcare sector. Since joining SGV Investments, Josh has worked on a number of SGV Investments' investments, including Newport Healthcare, BrightSpring Health Services (formerly ResCare), SCP Health (formerly Schumacher Clinical Partners), Carestream Health, Center for Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency Medical Services and Genesis HealthCare.

Josh is a director of Newport Healthcare and SCP Health. He previously served on the boards of Genesis Healthcare, Center for Diagnostic Imaging and BrightSpring Health Services

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Josh worked in the Healthcare Investment Banking group at Banc of America Securities, where he provided capital raising and advisory services to healthcare companies.

Josh holds an A.B., Economics (cum laude), from Harvard College.

Since joining SGV Investments, Faiz has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investments in WestJet and Advanced Integration Technology (AIT). He remains actively involved with these companies and focuses on new investment opportunities in the Aerospace & Defense, Automation and Transportation & Logistics sectors.

Faiz currently serves on the board of WestJet.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Faiz worked at Francisco Partners, a San Francisco-based private equity firm where he completed acquisitions, advised portfolio companies and evaluated opportunities in the technology sector. Previously, Faiz was a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company.

Faiz holds a B.Sc. (High Distinction) from the University of .

Jason is focused on broad supply chain and other critical operational areas in both due diligence and post-acquisition. He contributes to the implementation, monitoring and effective measurement of key value creation initiatives and best practices across the platform’s portfolio.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Jason was a Senior Vice President at Colfax Corporation, where he was responsible for supply chain and continuous improvement across the company’s industrial and MedTech holdings, including Howden, ESAB and DJO. Previously, he was a VP/Officer at Cummins, Inc., where he established and led end-to-end supply chain and operations both corporately and within the Power Generation business unit. Jason was also instrumental in developing Cummins’ initial advanced analytics and digital offerings. Earlier in his career, Jason held senior operating roles in several public retail businesses and was a consultant with Bain & Company in both San Francisco and London.

Jason holds a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA (Finance) and MA in International Studies (Russian) from the Lauder Institute at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

Amir is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Business Services sector. Since joining SGV Investments, Amir has worked on SGV Investments Partners' investments in Ryan LLC, ASM Global (formerly SMG), Clarivate Analytics, Emerald Expositions, Advanced Integration Technology and BBAM.

Amir currently serves on the boards of Ryan LLC, ASM Global, Clarivate Analytics and Emerald Expositions, and previously served on the board of BBAM.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Amir was with the Investment Banking division of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.

Amir holds a B.A. and B. Comm. from McGill University.

Jonathan is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ European efforts in the Aerospace, Automation, Transportation, and Industrial Manufacturing & Services sectors. Since joining SGV Investments, Jonathan has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investments in WestJet, Advanced Integration Technology (AIT), KraussMaffei Group, and BBAM and its related investments in FLY Leasing and Meridian Aviation.

Jonathan currently serves on the boards of WestJet and Meridian Aviation and previously served on the board of KraussMaffei Group.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Jonathan worked at The Boston Consulting Group in Zurich, Switzerland.

Jonathan holds an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland.

Wes is responsible for SGV Investments Partners Portfolio Operations and plays a key role in identifying, creating and driving value across SGV Investments Partners’ portfolio companies as well as the due diligence processes. He oversees the implementation, monitoring and effective measurement of key value creation initiatives and best practices across the platform’s portfolio. Wes is also a member of the SGV Investments Partners Investment Committee.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Wes was a Senior Vice President at Fortive, where he was responsible for the firm’s Intelligent Operating Solutions segment. This segment consisted of numerous leading companies including Fluke, Industrial Scientific, Intelex and Gordian. Previously, he was the President of Fluke, a subsidiary operating company of Danaher, and then Fortive. During his time with Danaher and Fortive, Wes had significant merger and acquisition experience, leading over a dozen deals for those firms. Earlier in his career, Wes advanced through a series of sales, marketing and general management roles at Whirlpool Corporation, Pfizer Consumer Healthcare and Johnson & Johnson, creating value in well-known brands such as Maytag, KitchenAid, Neosporin, Band-Aid and Listerine.

Wes is a long-standing supporter of the United Way and has served on the board of his local chapter for several years.

Wes holds a B(Sc) from the University of Manitoba and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario.

Matt is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Construction & Building Products and Packaging industries. Since joining SGV Investments, Matt has worked on the acquisitions of Tomkins, RSI Home Products, Jack’s Family Restaurants and Save-A-Lot. He also worked on JELD-WEN (NYSE: JELD) and Husky International during SGV Investments Partners’ ownership.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Matt worked with the private equity funds of Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and the North American buyouts group of DB Capital Partners, the former private equity division of Deutsche Bank AG.

Matt holds an M.B.A., Finance (with Honours) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. (magna cum laude) from Amherst College.

Manish is responsible for SGV Investments Partners’ efforts in the Industrial Manufacturing and Automotive sectors. Since joining SGV Investments, Manish has worked on several Onex investments including the acquisition of WireCo WorldGroup and the acquisitions and subsequent realizations of Tomkins/Gates, Allison Transmission (NYSE:ALSN) and TMS International (NYSE:TMS).

Manish currently serves on the board of WireCo WorldGroup and previously served on the board of TMS International.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Manish worked in investment banking with Greenhill & Co. and J.P. Morgan in New York.

Manish holds a B.A., Economics (Distinction) from McGill University.

Yonah has overall responsibility for SGV Investments' compliance program.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Yonah served as Chief Compliance Officer and Associate General Counsel for the Alternatives business at Neuberger Berman, comprising several private equity strategies and a multi-manager hedge fund business. Previously, Yonah served as in-house legal counsel at Lehman Brothers for the Absolute Return Strategies group, supporting its proprietary hedge fund products.

Yonah holds a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Talmudic Studies from Beth Medrash Govoha.

Since joining SGV Investments, Marko has worked on the due diligence and execution of SGV Investments Partners’ investment in WireCo WorldGroup. He remains actively involved with the company and focuses on new investment opportunities in the Business Services sector.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Marko worked for Hellman & Friedman in London, was a management consultant with McKinsey & Company in and served as an advisor to the Serbian Government.

Marko graduated with Honours from the University of with a Bachelor’s in Engineering Science and a Master’s in Computer and Electrical Engineering and earned an M.B.A. with distinction from INSEAD.

Since joining SGV Investments, Michael has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of Newport Healthcare and Save-A-Lot, as well as the divestiture of Tropicana Las Vegas. He is actively involved in evaluating and conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Healthcare sector.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Michael worked in the Investment Banking division of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in for two years.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.

Since joining SGV Investments, Mike has worked on SGV Investments Partners' acquisitions of Ryan LLC, Clarivate Analytics (formerly known as Thomson Reuters’ Intellectual Property & Science business) and JELD-WEN. He remains actively involved with Ryan LLC. Mike also focuses on new investment opportunities in the Building Products sector.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Mike worked in the Consumer group at Citi Investment Banking in New York for two years.

Mike graduated from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a B.Sc. in Finance.

Carlo is responsible for transaction structuring across SGV Investments Partners’ investment portfolio as well as related operational and tax oversight matters. He also provides transaction execution support including assisting with due diligence relating to investment activities. Prior to 2021, Carlo also provided tax-related support to ONCAP and its operating companies and limited partners.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Carlo was a Senior Manager in the Transaction Tax group of Ernst & Young’s office focused on the acquisition, financing and disposition of international organizations.

Carlo holds a Master’s degree in Taxation from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Saint Mary’s University.

Since joining SGV Investments, Paul has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investment in Clarivate Analytics (formerly known as Thomson Reuters’ Intellectual Property & Science business) and served on its Board of Directors prior to the transaction in May 2019 with Churchill Capital Corporation (NYSE:CCC). He remains actively involved with this company, and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Industrials sector across Europe. Paul also worked on the divestitures of SGV Investments Partners’ investments in KraussMaffei Group and TMS International.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Paul worked in the Investment Banking division of UBS in for two years.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours, First Class) from the Queen’s School of Business and has completed the first two levels of the CFA program.

Since joining SGV Investments, Adrien has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of Tes Global, Acacium Group (formerly Independent Clinical Services), Partou (formerly KidsFoundation) and Parkdean Resorts. He remains actively involved with these companies and focuses on new investment opportunities in the Business Services sector across Europe.

Adrien currently serves on the boards of Tes Global, Acacium Group and Partou.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Adrien worked for Bain Capital in London and in the Investment Banking division of J.P. Morgan in Paris, London and Johannesburg.

Adrien graduated with Honours from the London School of Economics with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and History, and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Sciences-Po Paris.

Since joining SGV Investments, Chrisanth has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of Parkdean Resorts and SIG Combibloc. He remains actively involved with these companies and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Packaging and Business Services sectors across Europe.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Chrisanth was with the Investment Banking division of Morgan Stanley in London, Zurich and Frankfurt.

Chrisanth holds a Master of Social and Economic Sciences degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Since joining SGV Investments, Zach has worked on SGV Investments and SGV Investments Partners’ investments in Imagine Learning (formerly Weld North Education), PowerSchool, Convex, Ryan Specialty Group and Ryan LLC, respectively. He remains actively involved with Weld North Education, PowerSchool and Ryan LLC, and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Software and Business Services sectors.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Zach worked in the Financial Sponsors Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York for three years.

Zach is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Delaware.

Lauren is a member of SGV Investments Partners Portfolio Operations team where she supports due diligence and post-acquisition value creation efforts. She is responsible for working with portfolio companies to identify and implement value creation initiatives and establishing best practices internally for SGV Investments Partners.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Lauren was an Associate Partner with Bain & Company. As a leader in Bain’s Private Equity Group, Lauren led over 50 due diligence and value creation engagements on behalf of various financial investors, with a focus on industrials and business services. Lauren has also led numerous strategy engagements, working closely with management teams across privately held and publicly traded companies.

Lauren holds an MBA (with Distinction) from Ivey Business School, MSc from The London School of Economics and MA from the University of , both in the field of International Political Economy, and a BA (Hons) from Western University.

John joined Onex in in 2011 and re-joined the firm in New York in 2017 after completing his M.B.A. Since joining SGV Investments, John has been involved with SGV Investments' investments in Wealth Enhancement Group, OneDigital, Ryan Specialty Group, Sedgwick Claims Management Services and Gluskin Sheff. He currently focuses on new investment opportunities in the Financial Services sector.

Prior to re-joining Onex in New York, John worked in the Onex office and the Investment Banking division of Credit Suisse.

John holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and an Honours Business Administration degree (with Distinction) from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario where he graduated as valedictorian.

Since joining SGV Investments, Adina has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of ASM Global (formerly SMG), Save-A-Lot and Emerald Expositions, as well as its subsequent acquisition of GLM. She remains actively involved with these businesses and focuses on new investment opportunities in the Business Services sector.

Since joining SGV Investments, Cameron has been actively evaluating and conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities. He focusses on opportunities in the Industrials sector. Cameron also worked on SGV Investments Partners’ divestiture of KraussMaffei Group.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Cameron worked in the Natural Resources Group of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York.

Since joining SGV Investments, Phil has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investment in Ryan LLC, Newport Healthcare, and Resource Environmental Solutions. He is actively involved in evaluating potential acquisitions and conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities.

Phil serves Chairman of the Board of the non-profit organization No One Left Behind.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Phil served as a Legislative Fellow at the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as a Teaching Fellow in Economics at Harvard. Phil has also served for fourteen years in the U.S. Air Force and continues to serve as a reserve Deputy Military Advisor at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations.

Phil holds a J.D. (cum laude) from Harvard Law School, an M.B.A. (with Distinction) from Harvard Business School, and a B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Cornell University. He is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a member of the Bar of the State of New York.

Since joining SGV Investments, Liam has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investments in Acacium Group (formerly Independent Clinical Services) and SIG Combibloc. He remains actively involved with Acacium Group, and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Liam worked in the Investment Banking division at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.

Liam holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Honours) from Queen’s University.

Since joining SGV Investments, Sharon has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of Acacium (formerly Independent Clinical Services), Partou (formerly KidsFoundation), PowerSchool Group and Parkdean Resorts. She remains is actively involved with these businesses and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Healthcare sector in Europe.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Sharon was with the Financial Sponsors Coverage Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and worked in the Investment Banking Division of Nomura in London.

Sharon holds a B.Sc. in General Management from the EBS University of Business and Law, Oestrich-Winkel.

Megan is focused on General Insurance, Health & Benefits and Retirement program management and strategy execution for SGV Investments' operating companies. She is engaged globally in the spend category, creating proprietary programs and driving operational opportunities. Megan also supports related due-diligence and investment activity within Onex.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Megan was Managing Director of Alterity Group where she advised several private equity firms on Insurance & Benefits management across their portfolio. An experienced healthcare and benefits professional, Megan has led numerous transaction engagements, including harmonization, strategic carve-outs and add-ons. She has held positions in business development, client engagement and leadership within the benefits and insurance industry.

Megan holds a B.A. degree in Political Science from the University of Maine.

Since joining SGV Investments, Kunal has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ acquisitions of WestJet and remains actively involved with the company. In addition, he spent a year at WestJet working in Calgary on several value creation initiatives with the company’s management team. Kunal also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities across the aerospace, transportation and logistics sectors. 

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Kunal worked in the Investment Banking division of UBS in for three years.

Kunal holds an Honours Business Administration degree (with Distinction) from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
 

Since joining SGV Investments, Erika has been actively involved in identifying, evaluating and conducting due diligence on new investment opportunities.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Erika was a Vice President at Oaktree Capital Management. Previously, she was a Senior Associate at Trilantic Capital Partners and an Investment Banking Analyst at Barclays Capital.

Erika holds a B.S. in Finance (with Honors) and minors in Environmental Science and Real Estate from Lehigh University.

Since joining SGV Investments, Marco has worked on SGV Investments Partners' investments in Tes Global and BBAM and its related investment in Meridian. He remains actively involved with these companies and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities. He currently focuses on opportunities in the Industrials sector across Europe.

Marco currently serves on the board of Tes Global.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Marco worked at Terra Firma Capital Partners, a London-based private equity firm.

Marco holds a Masters of Science in Finance and Private Equity from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Since joining SGV Investments, Kyle has worked on SGV Investments Partners’ investments in Wealth Enhancement Group, OneDigital and Convex Group. He remains actively involved with these businesses and also evaluates and conducts due diligence on new investment opportunities in the Financial Services sector.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Kyle worked at the private equity fund H.I.G. Capital where he worked on investments including AMPAC Fine Chemicals and Vantage Specialty Chemicals. Kyle began his career in the Investment Banking division of Wells Fargo Securities.

Kyle holds an M.B.A., Finance (with Honours) from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. (magna cum laude) from Washington & Lee University.

Siddharth is responsible for tax planning, tax-related due diligence and structuring for the acquisition and divestiture of operating companies for SGV Investments Partners. He also assists with tax reporting to limited partners.

Prior to joining SGV Investments, Siddharth was a Senior Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions Tax group of KPMG’s office, advising on acquisitions, reorganizations and dispositions – including IPO transactions and spin-offs – working with public pension plans and private equity funds. He also completed secondments to KPMG offices in the United Kingdom and Australia with a focus on advising asset managers with their portfolio management.

Siddharth is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University.
